Hi Friends! Today I’m showing you more of Mikayla & Chris’ sweet Brooklyn engagement session. This adorable pair got engaged at the height of lockdown last year and they were so excited to finally capture some fun photos to share with friends and family. We decided to meet in the hip Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn, a section of the borough that has lots of cool industrial spaces, tons of bars & restaurants & a main canal that runs right into the Manhattan skyline. Other than our meeting place, we had no plans on exactly where we were going to be shooting- opting instead to just wander & see what we found. There are so many interesting location possibilities around the city & I couldn’t believe my eyes when we found some wall space that matched their outfit choices perfectly!
So many of my clients decide a relaxed style session suits them the best, allowing us to capture a mix of posed & candid photos that are perfect for Save The Dates, wedding guest books, wedding website & more. If you’re going to go with the “wander & see what we find” location method, I would suggest leaving a bit of extra time before sunset so that we don’t run out of good light and also be sure to wear comfortable shoes!
